Libri & Liberi: časopis za istraživanje dječje književnosti i kulture
Basic information
Libri & Liberi is published twice a year in printed and electronic form (www.librietliberi.org) by the Croatian Association of Researchers in Children’s Literature (www.hidk.hr).
We will be pleased to consider for publication original manuscripts in English, German and Croatian that have not been published previously or that are not under consideration elsewhere. All manuscripts submitted for publication undergo a double-blind peer review.
We invite authors to send a manuscript through the OJS or a short summary and the title of the paper they intend to submit for publication to librietliberi@gmail.com.

Fields of Interest
Libri & Liberi publishes peer-reviewed academic papers on various topics in the field of children's literature and young adult literature and on related topics, on their wider cultural contexts, and on their intercultural contacts in the fields of literature and the media. The journal will particularly appreciate interdisciplinary approaches and intermediality.
Submitted articles may address topics in various areas of expertise, such as:
- history of children’s literature and young adult literature;
- theory of literature and cultural theory in relation to children’s literature;
- comparative children’s literature;
- Croatian children’s literature in a wider international context;
- cultural aspects of childhood and adolescence;
- popular culture, popular literature and children as recipients;.
- narrative fiction;
- children’s poetry;
- comics and graphic novels: historical and theoretical aspects;
- picturebooks;
- drama, theatre and puppetry;
- animation and children’s movies;
- wider cultural contexts of children’s literature and young adult literature;
- intertextuality and intermediality;
- censorship and self-censorship;
- translation;
- set texts in education (required reading) and promoting reading;
- publishing children’s books;
- as well as in other related areas of interest.

Libri & Liberi is an open access (OA) journal. All articles are published under Creative Commons license CC BY-NC 4.0.
Libri & Liberi does not charge any form of author fees. Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights for non-commercial purposes. Authors may archive final publisher’s versions (immediately after publication) of their papers on their personal websites and/or in institutional repositories in accordance with the Creative Commons license CC BY-NC 4.0.
